Ingredients

unsalted butter
softened
3½

powdered sugar
⅔
cup
cocoa powder

tsp
vanilla extract
3-4
tbsp
heavy cream or milk
pinch
instant espresso
Instructions
Place butter in the bowl of a stand mixer and beat on low speed until creamy and smooth. Scape down the sides of the bowl.
Add 2 cups of the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, espresso, and 2 tbsp of heavy cream.
Continue to mix on low speed until well combined. Gradually add in the remaining powdered sugar. Add 1-2 tbsp of heavy cream if needed.
Frost cupcakes immediately when frosting is mixed.
