Caprese Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 large ripe red tomato
  • 4 slices buffalo mozzarella cheese
  • 6 large fresh basil leaves chopped
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • balsamic vinegar
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Wash and slice the tomato into ¼-½ thick slices. Layer on a plate or platter and lightly season with salt and pepper.
  • Lay mozzarella cheese slices on top of the tomato slices. Lightly season with salt and pepper.
  • Drizzle the extra-virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the top of the slices. Sprinkle with chopped basil.
