Ingredients

  • 1 rack St Louis or baby back ribs
  • 1 tbsp ground pepper
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Prep the ribs.
    Cut away any excess fat and dangling pieces or meat.
    Turn ribs to over to rib side up and remove the membrane. This is an important step to help make them tender.
  • Combine all the spices and sugar in a bowl and mix together.
    Spread the dry rub all over the front and back of the ribs.
  • Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place on a baking sheet. Place in oven and bake for 2 to 2½ hours. Internal temperature should be 160°.
