Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Arrange bread slices on a baking sheet. Drizzle with EVOO and season with ¼ tsp salt. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Leave oven on.
Spray a small baking sheet with vegetable oil cooking spray.
Combine ½ tsp salt, ¼ tsp black pepper, cumin, coriander, and garlic. Rub the mixture all over the steaks. In a nonstick skillet, heat 2 tbsp EVOO over medium to high heat. Add steaks and cook for 2 minutes on each side. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Slice across the grain into 20 slices (1/4 inch thick).
Whisk together mayonnaise, mascarpone cheese, basil, curry powder, paprika, ½ tsp salt, and ½ tsp black pepper.
Spread ½ tsp mayonnaise mixture on each slice of bread. Top with a slice of steak. Add a dollop of mayonnaise mixture on top of the steak. Garnish each slice with finely chopped basil.
