The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

There’s something timeless about a warm chocolate chip cookie fresh from the oven. In my kitchen, the recipe I reach for again and again is the original Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies. I didn’t create this recipe—and I won’t pretend I did—but I will say this: these cookies never fail. They’re soft in the center, lightly crisp around the edges, and packed with melty chocolate chips that make every bite feel nostalgic and comforting.

I’ve tried plenty of chocolate chip cookie variations over the years, but I always come back to this one. It’s the recipe everyone recognizes, the one that feels like home, and the one people ask me to make for birthdays, cookouts, holidays, and “just because” days. There’s a reason it’s been loved for generations.

A Quick Note About the Recipe

This is the official Toll House recipe—the one printed on the bag of Nestlé chocolate chips. It’s their creation, not mine, and I always give them full credit. My role is simply sharing how much I love it and how well it works for my family and friends.

If you’ve never made it before, you’re in for a treat. If you have made it, you already know why it’s a classic.
