Baked Ham with Brown Sugar Glaze

Baked Ham with Brown Sugar Glaze

Baked ham with brown sugar glaze is a classic dish that combines sweet and spiced flavors to enhance the savory richness of ham. The glaze creates a caramelized coating that adds depth and warmth to every bite. As the ham bakes, the glaze infuses it with a balance of citrusy brightness, subtle spice, and rich sweetness, making it a favorite for holiday feasts and special occasions.

Ingredients

  • Spiral sliced ham
  • brown sugar
  • orange juice
  • honey
  • cinnamon
  • ground mustard
  • ground cloves

Make the Glaze

Using a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar and other spices. Add the orange juice and honey and mix well. Place the saucepan over low heat and cook for three to four minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent the mixture from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

Pour the glaze over the ham while spreading it all over with a pastry brush.

Cover the ham with aluminum foil and bake.
