Ingredients

  • 16 oz ziti pasta
  • 16 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • fresh basil
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  • In a large pot filled with salted water, boil your pasta until al dente. Drain when finished.
  • Place the pasta back in the pot, then add the ricotta and half a cup of the mozzarella. Salt and pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.
  • Pour the pasta into the baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella on top. Cover lightly. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove the cover and bake another 10 minutes so the cheese on top melts nicely.
  • Chop up the fresh basil and sprinkle it on top before serving.
